From Gili to Hidden Gilis · Next chapter

Asahan, Gede, Kedis, Layar, Nanggu — the quieter five.

Beyond busy Trawangan, Meno and Air. These southwest gems are a core Trans Gili project — private fullday island hops booked here, not on the Fastboat ticket search.

Leave the busy three behind

Most visitors know Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air. Further southwest toward Sekotong, smaller islands open calmer water, soft shallows and slower harbour life — Asahan, Gede, Kedis, Layar and Nanggu are the gems we are building into Trans Gili’s next chapter.

Hidden Gilis coastline

01 · Southwest

Gili Asahan

A quiet southwest island with calm shoreline energy — mangroves at the edge, soft water for swimming, and almost none of the main-island rush.

Asahan suits travellers who want a private boat day with time to swim and sit still. Pair it with nearby islands on a fullday route, or use it as a calm stop between Bangsal and the southwest cluster.

02 · Largest of the cluster

Gili Gede

The larger southwest island — more shoreline to explore, small harbour life, and space without Trawangan energy.

Gede is the natural hub of the Hidden Gilis — a good fullday destination when you want to land, walk a stretch of coast, and combine with Kedis or Nanggu on the same private boat.

Book toward Gede

03 · Sandbar stop

Gili Kedis

A tiny sandbar island — short stops, bright shallows and photo light at mid-tide.

Kedis is best as a brief landing on a private island-hop — walk the sand, swim the shallows, then continue to Gede, Layar or Nanggu. Tide matters; our team times the stop around the day’s water.

Book toward Kedis

04 · Neighbour island

Gili Layar

A southwest neighbour for a quieter day on the water — reefs nearby and a slower rhythm than the main three Gilis.

Layar pairs well with Gede and Kedis on the same private route. Expect fewer boats, clearer mornings for snorkel stops, and time to simply sit on deck between islands.

Book toward Layar

05 · Soft shallows

Gili Nanggu

Soft shallows and an easy island pause — white sand, calm swimming and a classic stop on southwest private boat days.

Nanggu is a favourite lunch or swim stop on fullday Hidden Gilis routes — easy landing, soft water for families, and a natural place to end the loop before returning to Bangsal or the main Gilis.
